Tire Performance and Replacement Information
The tires used on each model are designed to be high-performance, visible, durable, and to keep you riding Rad for miles. The tires are developed and sized to work with a specific Rad Power Bikes model or, in some cases, are compatible with multiple models.
Click a heading below to learn about choosing the best tire for your riding style, details on tire and inner tube compatibility, and resources to help you replace a tire.
Choose the Best Tire for Your Ride
Off-Road Riding:
If the riding surface is soft enough for a tire to leave behind an impression, using a tire with tread will improve traction over using a slick tire. For any off road riding, we recommend using tires with knobby treads.
City Riding:
Slick tires are designed to perform well in dry, warm conditions on relatively smooth pavement. This is because slick tires have a wide contact patch of rubber where the flat portion of the tire meets the road surface. On pavement, more rubber touching the ground means better grip. However, in cold or wet conditions, riders should reduce speed, increase braking distance, and use caution as they will have less traction than on warm, dry pavement.
Take a look below to see stock tire details for each model, compatibility information, and the recommended PSI for tire inflation.
Tires should be inflated to the recommended value listed on the tire sidewall. Do not overinflate or underinflate a tire. Always check your tire pressure before every ride.

Tire traction will vary depending on the road or trail surface and weather. In particularly cold, wet, or icy conditions, or on slippery, soft, or loose surfaces, the tires may provide less traction than on warm, dry, paved surfaces.
If riding in wet or slippery conditions, riders should use caution, reduce speed, and apply brakes more gradually over longer distances to maintain adequate tire grip on the riding surface.
Slightly reducing the tire pressure, within each tire's recommended range, can also help increase the contact patch between the tire and the road surface, which can help maintain adequate grip in slippery conditions.

Low pressure may result in loss of control, and overinflated tires may burst. Failure to always maintain the air pressure rating indicated on pneumatic tires may result in tire and/or wheel failure. Do not overinflate or underinflated tires.
